News | Researchers launch survey on voluntary carbon markets
Companies and organisations which buy carbon units or which are developing Woodland Carbon Code projects to compensate for emissions are being invited to participate in a survey.
The survey is part of the Finding Viable Pathways for Forest Carbon Offsetting in Europe project, which involves researchers from the Spanish National Research Council, the James Hutton Institute and the universities of Barcelona and Aberdeen.
Data from the survey will be used to analyse the factors which influence decisions about compensating for greenhouse gas emissions through woodland expansion projects in voluntary carbon markets.
