The UK Department for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs (Defra) has published the results of research it commissioned into the Woodland Carbon Code, including the code’s framework, data requirements and approach to testing additionality.

The Woodland Carbon Code team has welcomed the publication and will use the findings to help inform its work in retendering for a new registry provider, reviewing the code’s additionality test and using technology to enhance and streamline its administration and monitoring processes.

You can read about the research and its outputs in the science search and research projects section of the Defra website.
