Acceptable use policy - LinkedIn

Introduction

The Woodland Carbon Code uses LinkedIn to share news, updates and information about our work, as well as to engage with individuals and organisations interested in woodland carbon projects. To maintain a professional and respectful environment, all users engaging with our content must adhere to this acceptable use policy.

Respectful and professional conduct

We welcome your comments, questions and feedback, but expect all users to engage respectfully. Comments or posts must not contain: 

  • Hate speech, discrimination or harassment based on race, gender, religion, nationality, disability, sexual orientation, or any other protected status.
  • Defamatory, obscene or abusive language.
  • Personal attacks, bullying or threats.

Relevant and appropriate content

Contributions should be relevant to the Woodland Carbon Code and the topics we discuss. The following are prohibited: 

  • Spam, self-promotion or commercial advertising.
  • Misinformation, false claims or misleading content.
  • Off-topic or irrelevant discussions unrelated to woodland carbon initiatives.

Intellectual property and compliance

Users must respect intellectual property rights, including copyrights and trademarks. Users must also comply with LinkedIn’s terms of service and applicable laws.

Moderation and enforcement

The Woodland Carbon Code team reserves the right to remove any content that violates this policy and take appropriate action, including reporting violations to LinkedIn or restricting access to our page for repeat offenders. 

Content from other parties

Comments and replies on our LinkedIn page that are not posted by Woodland Carbon Code do not necessarily reflect our views. While we aim to share credible and reliable content, sharing or interacting with third-party posts does not imply our endorsement of all their content.

Contact and reporting

If you encounter content that violates this policy, please report it to us directly through LinkedIn messaging or via our official contact channels. 

By engaging with our LinkedIn page, users agree to comply with this acceptable use policy. We appreciate your cooperation in fostering a professional and informative space. 

Receiving a response

Our LinkedIn page is generally monitored from 9am to 5pm, Monday to Friday. We aim to respond to questions in a timely manner. However, complex inquiries may be directed to our official email for a more detailed response.
